Taika Okahara was born in 1961, in Hatsukaichi city Hiroshima prefecture. Taika was very affected by the biographical novel of Senshu when he was 10 years old, and started to draw Sumie since then.
He studied under Shuho Katada, Souri Matsushima and Ryoun Watase. And he unleashed his potential in young age and had his own students.And now he runs his art classes as “ Nanga Yushin club” and “ Toho Japanese painting association”, and has a lot of his students.
